January 2026 - Clare (Functional Skills Maths)

Congratulations to Clare who has won our ‘Learner of the month’ for January. Clare has won Learner of the Month for her exceptional commitment to her Functional Skills Maths course. With perfect attendance and a focused, positive attitude, she consistently engages in every session and isn't afraid to challenge herself. Her growing confidence and hard work make her a standout student and a pleasure to teach.

Clare said “After being away from studying for several years, returning to learning felt like a significant step for me. This course helped me rebuild my confidence, refresh my skills, and reconnect with the discipline of structured study. Passing the exam is an achievement I’m genuinely proud of, and I’m especially grateful for the guidance and encouragement I received throughout the process. I want to give special thanks to Diana for her patience, support, and consistent reassurance — her approach made a real difference in helping me stay focused and motivated. Being named Learner of the Month is a meaningful recognition of the progress I’ve made and the support that helped me get here. Thank you ☺️”

November 2025 - Goldene (Functional Skills Maths)

Congratulations to Goldene who has won our ‘Learner of the month’ for November. Goldene’s hard work and determination have truly paid off. Even though maths doesn't always come easily to her, she has shown incredible grit, engaging deeply in both group lessons and 1-to-1 sessions with her tutor, Hannah Brill. The result? An excellent score in her recent mock exam! 📝✨

Goldene said “ I have felt supported every step of the way at On Course, building my confidence alongside my skills.” We are so proud of your progress, Goldene—keep up that amazing momentum!

October 2025 - Laura (Digital Core Skills: Introduction to your digital Devices)

Congratulations to Laura who has won our ‘Learner of the month’ for October. Laura proved to be a great learner and didn't just participate; she initiated support, always being the first to offer her knowledge and ideas to guide her fellow students. Laura's positive contributions and engaging interactions significantly boosted the learning environment for everyone. The tutor described Laura as ‘A wonderful presence to behold’.

September 2025 - Sophie (Social Media and Content Creation Apprentice)

Congratulations to Sophie who has won our ‘Learner of the month’ for September. Sophie is a Social Media and Content Creation apprentice for CaterEd and quickly proved to be a great asset to the team. Sophie has also recently been selected as a finalist in the highly competitive Apprentice of the Year category at the Devon Women in Business Awards 2025! This recognition is a testament to her hard work and talent.

August 2025 - Alice (completing a Family Learning Summer Workshop)

Congratulations to Alice who has won our ‘Learner of the month’ for August. Alice attended our Summer Family Learning workshop and created some beautiful, thoughtful pebbles with her two children. Alice was able to spend some quality time with her children whilst creating some special designs in memory of loved ones. Alice said “the bonus part was getting to do a creative activity with her kids—without all the mess at home!”
