Learning Foundation
Odils Learning Foundation is a faith based charitable enterprise that exists to enable people who have been isolated by language and culture both in the UK and overseas.
Specialising in teaching people with English as a second language, their long-term vision is to improve people’s personal and economic wellbeing as well as see that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to belong and contribute to their community.
Odils aim to empower people through the teaching of English and other vocational courses, alongside offering support to gain employment, access to further and higher education and opportunities to actively participate in the local community.
Shekinah
Building Lives and Futures
Shekinah is a Devon based charity that provides opportunities for people who are experiencing all forms of homelessness and other challenges they maybe currently facing. Shekinah believes that everyone deserves to be given another chance, and passionate and dedicated teams of staff and volunteers have worked to ensure that people in crisis are given a variety of opportunities to reach a secure and contented life.
Although all forms of homelessness is at the core of their work, Shekinah helps people address their health issues, finds and supports people in their own home, learn new skills and receive help in finding work with the support of the local business community.
Learners with Shekinah are encouraged to develop their own personal learning plan with targets and specific goals. Personal development, skills for life and IT are embedded within all vocational training to enhance the learning experience.

These employability workshops will run each week to help you find a job, prepare for a job or improve your work opportunities. Discovery College
Award-winning education provider
Discovery College is an award-winning education provider which delivers a variety of vocational courses for ages 16-19.
As part of the Plymouth City Council contract, Discovery College runs the #Futures programme, a 10 week course aimed at developing employability skills and progression opportunities into work, further and higher education.
In addition, Discovery College runs Levels 1 - 3 qualifications in: Business, Childcare, Health & Social Care, Performing Arts, Public Services, Sport, Travel & Tourism, Maths and English.
Discovery College is part of YMCA Plymouth and believes learning should be inspiring, fun and practical - giving young people the skills they need to succeed and thrive.
