BSL Tutor
I teach Introduction to BSL and Deaf Awareness. This is a great course to teach as I help to create a community where hearing and deaf people can communicate without barriers. With my teaching you will be learning a language which can be used to communicate in secret or across a noisy room!

Plymouth Learner Hub (PLH) Tutor
I will be tutoring courses around Employment skills, Health & wellbeing, Confidence Building, Community Connections plus arts and crafts. I will be running courses in the main hub but also will be in and around the city.

Family Learning Tutor
I teach arts and crafts through family learning. My sessions are centred around wellbeing through crafting and show learners how they can develop creative skills that will positively impact their mental health.
It is such a rewarding subject to teach, seeing learners grow in confidence in their work and talk freely about how their new found skills have helped their mental wellbeing is really special.

Maths & Digital Skills Tutor
I have been teaching for 15 years and I love Maths because it's abstract and reliable, there's no room for ambiguity. I find solving problems relaxing and calming.
Maths is the logic and reasoning behind everything we do. Maths helps us understand patterns, relationships and the world around us, while also developing our problem-solving skills. Can be fun sometimes or stressful some other times, but it's always rewarding.

Tutor/Assessor - Supported Internships
I am an experienced teacher with over 5 years’ experience including Primary and Post-16 SEND teaching before moving to Plymouth City Council as Member Services Team Leader. I have a First-Class Bachelors Degree in Primary Education specialising in English and a Masters Degree with Distinction in Education specialising in SEND.
I am also an advocate for Neurodiversity and inclusion, taking a leading role with the Council’s Neurodivergent Staff Network where I use my lived experience to raise awareness and improve support for neurodivergent people in the workplace. In my role as Tutor/Assessor for the SI team I hope to support our young people toward positive outcomes and enable them to feel equipped for their future employment and independence.
Noel Mitchell
Lead Tutor - Family Learning
Hello! An ex-primary school teacher of 24 years, I now work at OCSW as a 'Lead Tutor' for Family Learning. I also teach Entry Level Maths Functional Skills.
My Family Learning role requires liaising with Stakeholders (Schools, community centres / hubs) to look into setting up and running a range of Family Learning activities, as well as parent & child activities for school holidays. I currently visit primary schools across the city and deliver Maths workshops entitled - 'Bag of Number' - to parents of primary aged children, providing them with the confidence to support their children at home with their maths.

Jasmine Fadhli

Jasmine is a qualified Wellbeing Educator, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Complementary Therapist who has a depth of experience from which she can draw to teach and treat people on how to sustain mental, emotional and physical health with a holistic approach. She teaches complementary therapies such as reflexology, aromatherapy, Indian head massage and Swedish massage, coaches hypnotherapy clients and presents holistic wellbeing seminars, workshops and courses. She also uses her yoga teaching qualification knowledge to hold mindfulness workshops and teach practical techniques in stress management. Her passion has always been mental, physical and emotional wellbeing: learning about it, teaching it and sharing the knowledge to help others.
Celeste Tenorio
Languages Tutor
I’ve been teaching French and Spanish for over 20 years in different parts of the world, including Bermuda, France, Spain and here in the UK. For me, languages aren’t just about grammar and vocabulary — they’re about connecting with people, discovering new cultures, and seeing the world in a different way.
At OCSW, I run the French Language programme as well as workshops and Digital Skills. That includes things like the Volunteer Digital Passport, Get Work Ready - CV and Interviews, Google Workspace, and Online Safety and Digital Wellbeing sessions for parents. I love being able to support both students and families, whether it’s learning a new language or feeling more confident with technology.
I try to make my lessons fun, practical, and full of encouragement so that everyone feels they can succeed and enjoy the process of learning.
Sheron King
Creative Arts Tutor
Sheron King is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and workshop tutor based near Plymouth. She runs Mad Hatter Studio, a creative haven for adults to explore art in a relaxed, interesting and inspiring setting set within a medieval, historic location on the edge of Plympton. Alongside her teaching, Sheron develops her own design practice under Rosa King Designs. Her work spans mixed media, printmaking, and textile-based surface design, often inspired by her travels, colour, texture, and layered mark-making. She is currently building a portfolio of designs and prints that reflect her distinctive, expressive style — vibrant, textural, and full of life.
Sheron loves helping others rediscover their creativity while continuing to evolve her own artistic journey. Her courses invite people of all levels to experiment freely and leave inspired, with new ideas and techniques to explore.
Chris Rowe
AAT Lead Tutor & Assessor
I have worked in Further Education for nearly 20 years and have a passion for high quality teaching, learning and assessment in the field of bookkeeping & accounting. Here at OCSW I am in charge of our AAT L1, L2 & L3 qualifications as well as the new Accountancy Apprenticeships we now offer. I have a PGCE in PCET (FE), A1 Assessor Award, Diploma in Accounting, and am experienced in using Sage and Xero accounts packages. I am also committed to inclusivity and sustainability which are reflected within my teaching and resources. I am so pleased to be part of such an experienced, friendly and supportive team.

I’ve spent quite a while working in IT systems implementation and support, cyber-security and data analysis, protection, and information governance, so I’m keen to get stuck in and support the work you're all doing for digital inclusion and skill development across the community by teaching courses on foundational digital skills, including cyber-security, data analysis and management.

I am Lead Tutor / Assessor for On Course South West focusing mainly on the areas of Business, Leadership and Customer Service. I support in the development and delivery of opportunities for learners through the Turing Scheme and Apprenticeships. I am an experienced educator having worked in Further and Higher education for over 13 years, with extensive experience of leadership across sectors, tailoring bespoke training, collaborating with organisations overseas to support learner and staff development, as well as previously having run my own Training and Development consultancy business for ten years. My passion is to ensure that learners have the skills they need to make them understand, apply and potentially question information to drive positive change. Being flexible and able to adapt to challenges are critical life skills that can really empower learners and it is so rewarding to see their progression together with the impact on their employability and confidence. Family Learning with English Speciality Tutor
I have been a primary school teacher in Plymouth for over 20 years and now work at OCSW as part of the family learning team. I visit primary schools across the city and deliver English workshops to parents of primary age children in order to provide them with the confidence to support their children at home with all aspects of English including early reading, writing, spelling and grammar.
