On Course South West to deliver support programmes for families
On Course South West is delighted to announce plans to deliver a comprehensive range of programmes and workshops for parents/carers, with additional programmes offered which are tailored to families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This new menu of support aims to provide vital learning opportunities to families across Plymouth, starting from September 2025.
These programmes will be free, easy to access and co-produced with families and settings, ensuring that those most in need receive timely access to these resources. With the addition of two new specialist tutors previously employed by PIAS, the team bring their specialist knowledge, skill and experience to create packages of support led by family’s needs. We are happy to discuss and deliver bespoke courses and workshops for schools, parents and professionals and will continue to work closely with our colleagues in the Plymouth Family Hubs, health and Plymouth schools.
For those families waiting for a parenting programme from PIAS, the team will soon be in touch to offer the appropriate support. For all new enquiries about a parenting programme, please click here to book or alternatively give our friendly learner support team a call to discuss on 01752 660713.
New programmes will be delivered from September 2025 following the transition of staff from PIAS to On Course South West.
We are excited to have conversations with parents/carers of children with SEND and design a programme of support for Plymouth families that will meet their needs in a timely way. Bespoke workshops will also be offered to accommodate the unique needs of families. This initiative reflects On Course South West’s commitment to supporting Plymouth families with expertise, compassion and a focus on inclusion.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
