Skills Bootcamps

On Course South West are working with employers across Plymouth to design and deliver high quality, free of charge training to self-employed, employed and unemployed adults to meet skills needs and job vacancies in the city.

Our Skills Bootcamps are intensive 9-week skills accelerator courses and will enable adults to build up specific sector skills and fast track to an interview with a local employer.

What can I expect from a Skills Bootcamp with On Course South West?

• Varied learning and teaching using seminars, classroom discussion, practical investigation and peer to peer conversations

• Some self-study bolstered by masterclasses from industry

• Grow your network

• Coaching support to ensure participants are ready to apply for that next opportunity, including upgrading CVs to reflect the knowledge learned and the skills and behaviours developed.  All participants will also benefit from an interview with a local employer

• Creation of a portfolio of work, classroom activity, peer to peer working and completion of a series of short creative tasks. All of which will help learners to develop key skills in written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
