OCSW celebrate with their 2025 Learner awards!
On Friday 4th July we joined our wonderful learners for our annual celebration & awards evening!
Our Learner Celebration event was a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate our learners’ success as well as recognise the support they have received from friends, families and our staff in reaching this point. It was inspiring to hear the individual stories and ambitions, as well as see first-hand the power of education to empower people's futures. We are incredibly proud of every one of our learners who has made progress to their goals this year, across such a range of courses, qualification and apprenticeships.
Our aim is to expand this for next year by giving even more opportunities for adults and young people to engage in learning through a curriculum that gives clear progression routes as well as the wrap around support needed to achieve and progress to new steps. This year to date we had 2,565 individuals enrolling onto 5,344 learning programmes including 1,839 learners on 3,199 free education programmes. The impact of this cannot be ignored with current data showing nearly 40% of our learners already progressing onto further study or employment this year.
Congratulations to all this year’s learners for your commitment and achievements and the best of luck for the future.
Thanks again to the University of Plymouth, Discovery College and Tamar Safety for sponsoring this event, their support is greatly appreciated.
