What is a green career?

According to the Department of Education a green job focuses on restoring the natural environment, whether that be in companies that create green goods like electric vehicles or companies that work to reduce the use of natural resources and produce clean energy.

Types of green jobs include:

  • Countryside rangers

  • Smart energy experts

  • Solar panel installers

  • Recycling operatives

  • Wind turbine technicians

  • Data analysts

  • Environmental managers

  • Agriculture specialists

  • Nuclear engineers

  • Wildlife conservationists

Did you know the UK Government has committed to net zero emissions by 2050, which will create millions of new green jobs. This year, green jobs represent over 30% of UK job postings on Linked In!
