Local Apprentice Sophie Wins Prestigious Devon Business Award
We are thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to Sophie, who has been named Female Apprentice of the Year for the Devon region at the recent Devon Women in Business event held in Exeter.
Sophie, who began her apprenticeship with On Course South West in 2024, currently serves as a Social Media Apprentice for CATERed. Her dedication, hard work, and significant contributions to her role have clearly impressed the judges, earning her this prestigious title.

Sophie’s outstanding contribution to CATERed's marketing and visual identity was highlighted by her employer:
“Since joining CATERed Limited as our Creative Content Apprentice in September 2024, Sophie has consistently delivered work of outstanding quality. From day one, she took the time to understand us as a company. She quickly demonstrated a deep understanding of our brand, using existing guidelines to refresh and elevate our visual identity. Her creativity, innovation, and fresh perspective have significantly enhanced our marketing strategy. Sophie’s dedication is evident in everything she does—she approaches every challenge with a solution-focused mindset and never hesitates to take on complex tasks. She has quickly become a valued and integral member of our management team, and her contributions continue to make a lasting impact."
Sophie's success was equally celebrated by her training provider, On Course South West. Her tutor was quick to praise her exceptional performance and dedication throughout her apprenticeship journey:
