ME TIME – a new way of learning maths and English for adults (FREE)
From September 2020 we have changed the way we deliver maths and English for adults in Plymouth and it’s free up to Level 2. We believe it’s important to get the right advice and we speak to every learner before they enrol on our maths and English courses, to make sure it’s right for you and that when you join an exam class, you are ready and confident.
Our adult learners join us for different reasons; some to develop a skill over time, others to follow a dream or to get a quick fix and secure a qualification. You are all different and your reasons for improving your skills are different. As an adult, you will get to design your own learning plan with help from the team at On Course South West, so that it is most useful to you, your dreams and your employment.
Did you know, nearly 50% of adults struggle with their maths and/or English skills? Maybe you missed out at school or you found school difficult. We often meet adults who felt that they were not able to achieve other things or go on to study because their maths and/or English was a real barrier to their progress.
Our new offer will help you build your confidence and skills independently and in trusted and fun sessions that get you ready for your next step, whatever that may be.
Call our Learning Services Team on 01752 660713 or email email@example.com to start your journey with us today. Our Learning Advisors will call you back.

I managed to pass my GCSE, probably one of the oldest learners at age 64. Now I’m looking to get back into learning and hopefully take an A level in maths.”
Studying English Functional Skills, I now have an improved confidence and I can walk around with my head held high.
Helped me find the real me. I now have the confidence and the qualification to find myself a job. Thank you to my tutors who believed in me and pushed me to my limits it sure has paid off.
I have now passed both my functional skills courses and am currently studying for GCSE’s. I must admit it’s much better and I am way more confident.”
Everybody’s really welcoming, and nobody judges you, and you can be who you want to be. It’s just a great way to get going.
Just started the Introduction to Counselling Course & it is excellent!
Really enjoyed the Introduction to Training course. The trainer’s style was creative and engaging. Would recommend to anyone.
I recently attended two of the free workshops and I was amazed how much I learnt, the tutors were very passionate about the craft they were teaching and the fact we all got to bring items home that we made was so wonderful. I would recommend to anybody.
I’ve just received my results and have passed both my GCSE English & Maths. I left school in 1988. Getting the chance to redo them was a great opportunity for me. Such a good feeling to have passed, onwards and upwards for me.
